EQAO Results - Literacy


Catholic Secondary Schools participate annually in the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT).  The Assessment is under the direction of the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) which operates within a framework established by the Government of Ontario. The OSSLT assesses whether students have acquired the reading and writing skills that they are expected to have learned by the end of grade 9, as outlined in The Ontario Curriculum. 


The OSSLT is written in the grade 10 year. 


Successful completion of the OSSLT is a requirement for an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).

EQAO Results - Mathematics


Catholic Secondary Schools participate annually in the Grade 9 Assessment of Mathematics under the direction of the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO). The test assesses the mathematical skills students are expected to have learned by the end of the grade 9 mathematics course, as outlined in The Ontario Curriculum.


The Grade 9 Assessment in Mathematics is written in the grade 9 year.
