Chaplaincy

As a Catholic Secondary School, Holy Trinity has the advantage of a full-time chaplain who is available to meet with students. Our chaplain is part of our school ministry to support religious faith development and excellence in learning. This faith development is enhanced through:

    • School liturgies;

    • Individual grade retreats;

    • Special themed retreats accessible for all students; and

    • Daily morning prayer.

Our chapel is also accessible to staff and students for personal reflection.

Our chaplain is available to counsel students with encouragement, hope, caring, and compassion. This ministry provides students and staff with an environment that is safe and non-judgmental; 'she meets each individual where they are on their journey'. Our chaplain also acts as our liaison with our school parish Pastor - Fr. Tomasz Koscinski and Associate Pastor - Fr. Paul Patrick at St. Therese Roman Catholic Church in Courtice, as well as with charitable organizations, (The Refuge, St. Vincent de Paul, Bethesda House, Soles4Souls) Student and Families in need, and Backpacks for Kids.

Social Justice

All students are encouraged to participate in social justice activities! The students and staff who participate in Holy Trinity's Social Justice group want to promote equity and inclusivity in our school. In the past, our Social Justice Club has:

    • Black History Month

    • Pink Shirt Day (to educate others on anti-bullying)

    • Food drives for St. Therese food bank

    • Monthly volunteering at St. Vincent's Kitchen (volunteer hours earned towards diploma)

    • Mental Health Awareness

    • Development and Peace

    • Dominican Republic Exposure trip

The Social Justice group meets weekly on Thursdays during both lunches in the Chapel.
