After graduation, Sean Aiken struggled to answer the question, “What should I do with my life?”
Instead of take the first job that came a long, he found a unique way of figuring it out” The One Week Job Project”. Now at the end of his journey, it’s time to share the complete the story and the lessons learned along the way.
In his presentation entitled “REAL WORLD BOOT CAMP”, Sean discusses how to engage students in conversation about the anxieties they are feeling as they enter the “real world.” He lends insight into concerns many Gen-Yer’s feel as they approach graduation and offers suggestions on how best to prepare them for the challenges ahead.
Reviews:
“Sean’s message really resonated with both students and staff at Wartburg College. He helped students understand they’re not alone in having questions about the future, while our staff was able to understand how they can continue to engage students in conversation about the ‘big questions’ of life. Our campus is still abuzz from his fantastic presentation!”
- Michael C. Gleason, Wartburg College
“Sean relates to his audience with a wonderful sense of awareness about who they are and what they need to hear that will be of benefit. His messages of hope, of not giving into fear and of exploring are important, accurate and positive. Thanks Sean for a wonderful experience. Well done!”
- Mary Ellen MacEachern, Saint Mary’s University
“Without a doubt, one of the most productive activities we have ever done for our students.”
