2010 Metro Bowl

Wednesday, November 24th

King City Lions 3 at Holy Trinity 28

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!

The Holy Trinity Titans took over Toronto last night and came away with the Metro Bowl Championship!  In front of a crowd of more than 1000 purple, screaming, painted HT fans the senior football team ran all over King City in a convincing 28-3 win.

The Titans led 14-3 at halftime on the strength of TD runs by Earl Anderson and Nathaniel Allen.  In the second half Tyler Ganhao and Anderson scored two more TD's for HT.

Dan Murphy led the Titans defense to the win by shutting down King City's best player while Svend Tamburro came back from injury to play an outstanding game.  The linebacker play of Tamburro, Adam Kolo-j-chuck and Joe Longo was a key to the win.

A highlight of the win was seeing Luke Samuels on the field for the final play of the game while the entire team chanted his name!

Thank you to all the supporters that came to the game and cheered wildly last night.  It was a great night to be an HT Titan!  King City and the rest of the GTA didn't know about our school spirit - now they know and they'll never forget!
